cloudy with a chance of coco.

the first thing i do when i wake up is check the weather. pulling that app up on my phone helps me make a lot of decisions as i start my day. i want to be some sort of fashion forecast for you. i want my readers to know what is on the fashion horizon so you can hit the trends before they hit mainstream. here are a few things i think you should be on the lookout for:

1. matching sets- these are going to be a major hit. definitely be searching for a top and short or skirt that look identical but are separate pieces. i have been looking for the perfect matching short and top for YEARS now. not kidding. ask my sister. i have yet to find the perfect pattern or combo, but when i do, you know i will be bloggin'.

2. banana leaves- this pattern is going to be very popular. if you don't know what this looks like, google it. it is a fabulous pattern for any piece of clothing, so find your inner jungle vibes quick.

3. distressed knee jeans- skinny jeans that are distressed will be on the forefront for day to day comfort. you do not want rips all down the jean, just the knee being revealed. i own black skinnies and a white wash pair that i am looking forward to rocking for the warmer weather.

4. strappy shoes- get your feet ready for the sunshine! straps that only hide only a portion of the foot are becoming very popular. find a pair of heels that only have a strap right below the toes and on the heel. sandals with a cool strappy pattern can spice up the shorts and tee look.

those are a few styles to be hunting for on shopping trips. trust me, they are going to be all over your pinterest feed very soon. i'm giving you a heads up because my readers are fashion forward, gosh dang it! love you bunches.

coco on the go.

finding muse in life is such a beautiful thing. far too often people slump into the norm, feeling no sense of creativity. we all need to feel something that puts fire in our bones. i am here to make you feel that way with your closet. grabbing the same tee and jeans everyday will suffice, but not muse you into any greatness.

want to know my muse? it changes as i do, but recently i was introduced to "free people presents." this clothing line has influenced my style for a while now, captivating my inner boho. yet, these short films created by free people have me addicted. not only are they cute stories that will make you smile in 3 or 4 minutes, they are also a fashion inspiration to no end. every video is designed with free people clothing obviously, but watching all of their creations come to life has me in the clouds. so as a warning, probably every 'coco on the go' post will have these influences (definitely not sorry).

today brought a little rain, which is always encouraged by me. i thought this would be the best time to test my boho chic style, so here it goes. free people is all about the little details, from tiny rings to flowing lace. straight blue skinny jeans were my bottom of choice to pair with this comfortable sweater (understatement). to add my little touches, i pulled on a lace skirt underneath the oversized top. whatever works! the skirt and the sweater both are neutral tones, which compliment each other very nicely. i don't even need to talk about the booties, you are very familiar by now. another detail added was in my jewelry. a longer chain was necessary to keep the length of the outfit consistent, so my newly purchased earth & eye necklace did the trick. it is a white stone hand wrapped with copper wire by the fabulous gracen frazier. go check out her products on twitter and instagram: @earthandeye. layering rings is a well known boho trend, so of course very necessary.

i am so excited to have found my fashion muse for these upcoming seasons! so many possibilities are ahead. if you have any ideas for my boho collection or would like to make your muse known, comment below or email me at the link in my bio. also, hit up youtube to find some "free people presents" videos. be careful or you will catch the boho bug. it spreads fast.

coco.

i think i am going to make this my thing. i'm still debating on it, so until i decide, here is another gif.

stop motion. let's focus on my book bag! military green is basically a neutral in my eyes, and with my newfound boho love, i fell for this satchel all over again.

rings on rings on rings showing off my earth & eye beauty of a necklace.

the small lace detail below the sweater couples so nicely with the flowers on campus. a blog picture at this spot was essential.
